75th Anniversary Issue of JHTR is Now Available!

I am excited to announce that the much anticipated 75th anniversary of ICHRIE edition of the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research (JHTR) is now published. It is a celebration of the monumental achievements of ICHRIE. I am grateful to each of the authors who contributed to this special commemorative issue.

I urge you to take the time to read this special edition. I think you will be impressed by the diverse collection of content that reflects the varied perspectives and interests represented in our academy. Our history is preserved, and our future is celebrated and challenged. We can be proud of the passion of our academy membership. We are indeed #hospitality strong!

It presents a kaleidoscope of the history of ICHRIE, nostalgic memories, past, present, and future of an academy as it developed, all narrated by members, friends, past presidents, and industry affiliates. It is well articulated to portray different reflections starting with the early stages and as it developed into a full-fledge association, with numerous teaching and research activities.

The contents are arranged categorically into subheadings: History/Past, Memories/Reflections, Hospitality & Tourism Education, Hospitality & Tourism Research, Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and Looking Ahead. Fenced under 200 pages are close to 50 articles that portray a variety of themes carefully crafted to bring the past, present, and future of ICHRIE.

In short, this ICHRIE 75th year JHTR edition is a souvenir collection that is brim with artifacts, sure to bring back fond memories to many, and enlighten us as to where we started and where we are headed.
