Upcoming Revenue Management Train-the-Trainer Session

RevME (Revenue Management Educators) and STR are pleased to invite you to the first train-the-trainer session for the new Revenue Management Certification (RMC) program.

This free workshop is scheduled for April 1 & 2, 2022, at the STR office in Nashville, TN.  Virtual participation will be supported.  Please contact sharecenter@str.com for more information or to register.

Participants will be introduced to the new comprehensive training program focusing on revenue management.  The program includes a digital book titled “Hospitality Revenue Management & Profit Optimization” and a complete set of training resources for the students and support material for the instructors.  Students who successfully complete the associated exam will receive a “Revenue Management Certification” (RMC).

RevME is comprised of the leading group of professors dedicated to teaching and research in the field of revenue management from around the globe.  This introductory level training program is a collaborative effort of 20 professors from 18 universities and 4 countries and valuable input from leading industry professionals.  The effort is supported by the STR SHARE Center and is endorsed by leading academic and industry organizations.

Revenue management is a critical topic for all hospitality management students.  Every graduate who plans to work in the hospitality industry needs a thorough understanding of the topic since revenue management will impact everyone who works in a hotel or a related hospitality firm.  Upon completion of the training, an online exam will be offered to students, and upon receiving a passing grade, a Revenue Management Certificate (RMC)

The training offers a broad treatment of revenue management topics, including economic concepts, forecasting, pricing, inventory management, distribution channels, and performance analysis.  These foundational concepts and practical applications are discussed in relation to the hotel industry as well as other hospitality segments.  Current issues such as COVID-related changes in the field of revenue management are also addressed in the instructors’ training program.  Resources for professors include PowerPoint slides, learning objectives, keywords/glossary, discussion questions, ethical issues, industry/technology spotlights, quizzes, and application problems.
