The Hotel Management School Maastricht (HMSM) is part of Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. HMSM is internationally recognized as one of the leading institutions in the field of higher hotel management.

About HMSM

The hotel school offers a 4-year Bachelor of Arts programme in Dutch and English and a 1-year English Master of Science in Facility & Real Estate Management. We organize this Master together with international partners. The economic Bachelor’s degree focuses on future managers and entrepreneurs in the international hospitality industry. The students of the international stream are coming from all over the world. The basic programme comprises 2.5 years. After this period the students follow a graduation profile for another 1.5 years. There are three profiles: Hotel Management, Food Service and Horizons in Hospitality.

The focus of HMSM is ‘The next step in hospitality’. The programme constantly challenges students to think about how to innovate the industry. Innovative entrepreneurship is therefore one of the spearheads of our hotel school. Other spear points are ‘connecting’ gastronomy and developing a ‘global mindset’.
