Historic Change of name – EuroCHRIE to EMEA CHRIE
Dear EuroCHRIE Colleagues and Members of ICHRIE,
In my role as current president of EuroCHRIE, it is with great pleasure that I share an important milestone in the evolution of our federation. With overwhelming support from our members, the board’s proposal to rename EuroCHRIE to EMEA CHRIE has been approved. This decision reflects our commitment to inclusivity and better represents the diverse community we serve across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Whilst we honour the rich legacy of EuroCHRIE, our federation has long extended beyond European borders, as seen in our successful conferences in Dubai, Nairobi and Doha and the composition of our leadership team. The new name recognizes this broader reach and reaffirms our dedication to fostering collaboration across the entire EMEA region.
So, what comes next? The necessary bylaw changes have been completed, and we will continue to operate under the EuroCHRIE brand until our annual conference in The Hague, Netherlands (November 10-13, 2025), in recognition of the efforts of the organizing team. During this time, the Board of Directors will develop an implementation plan to ensure a seamless transition. This is not just a rebranding effort—it is a step toward creating a more inclusive and dynamic federation that provides year-round opportunities for engagement beyond our annual conference.
I extend my sincere gratitude to the EuroCHRIE Board for their dedication throughout this process and to all our members who contributed their voices, support, and thoughtful reflections. Your commitment strengthens our federation, and I look forward to shaping this next chapter together.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Florian Aubke
