About Albert Helms
Albert Helms, General Manager JW Marriott Ankara since January 2014. Born in Saarbrücken, Germany, right on the French border Trained as a chef and worked for the next 25 years in top hotels all around the world, Switzerland, South Africa ( Sun City, Pretoria, Cape Town), Mozambique (Maputo), Seychelles, Russia before moving to management in 1999.
Corporate Chef/F&B for Marriott Europe, Frankfurt Marriott Director of Operations, then General Manager positons for the past 18 years in Renaissance St. Petersburg, Marriott Warsaw and JW Marriott Ankara. Turkey is the 9th. country he worked and lived in.
46 years in the hotel industry; 24 years with Marriott International. Past 6 years chair of the Marriott Business Council Turkey. Hobbies include BMW adventure motorbikes, music, literature, good food and beverage, travel, diving and having fun
