COVID-19: An Update from the EuroCHRIE team

We hope you are all keeping well in this unparalleled and challenging situation we all find ourselves in right now. From the contacts we have had with many EuroCHRIE members, it is clear that we are all adjusting quickly to this new, and hopefully temporary situation by adapting flex-working practices and working hard to put all of our teaching online where possible.

We would like to inform all of our members that we are closely following the recent epidemiological updates and are proactively implementing all necessary measures in accordance with all local authorities.  Our primary concern is the health and safety of our higher education community. Last week, we met with the EuroCHRIE board in Aalborg to discuss any progress with regards to our Annual conference early October eurochrie2020.org and for now this conference will still go ahead as planned. The paper deadline is now set at April 2nd, so do not hesitate to submit your papers.

At the same time, these are also challenging times for our larger ICHRIE community: Our friends from APacCHRIE have just sent out a message to postpone their May conference, and the NENA federation have cancelled their conference. We are in close contact with the other federations and hope to learn from each other’s experiences to deal with this situation.
