EXTENDED – EuroCHRIE partners with Oxford Cultural Collective on Ken Hom Scholarship

⚠️ SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED
? Tuesday, 30th June 2020

EuroCHRIE, the international professional association that works to continually improve the quality of education and research in hospitality and tourism, is partnering with the Oxford Cultural Collective on the Ken Hom Scholarship.

Member institutions – universities across Europe – will encourage their students to submit entries for the inaugural Ken Hom Scholarship. Four winners will travel to Asia for a culturally immersive educational trip.

The Scholarship reflects Ken Hom’s commitment to higher education, his belief that students should have a voice on important issues facing the hospitality industry and his dedication to promoting better understanding of Asia’s food culture. The scholarship is open to students of any nationality who are enrolled on higher education degree programmes (bachelors or masters) in hospitality or culinary arts (or related fields) in any European-based educational institutions.

Entrants are invited to submit a concise consultancy report on one challenge facing the Asian hospitality businesses in Europe. The closing date is 31st May 2020 30th June 2020. For full details, follow this link.

On EuroCHRIE’s involvement, Ken Hom commented:

“I’m delighted that EuroCHRIE has become our partner on this important scholarship. This will give us additional reach, enabling us to communicate with the widest possible community of talented students. This is one of numerous initiatives that the Oxford Cultural Collective will use to support hospitality management students. We can always achieve more working in collaboration with others, rather than independently.”

Ken Hom OBE, chef, author and broadcaster is a patron of the Oxford Cultural Collective. Read more about his profile.

Message to EuroCHRIE members:

Please circulate information about the Ken Hom – Lee Kum Kee scholarship, from the Oxford Cultural Collective, to all of your students (bachelors and masters) and encourage them to submit entries.
