Klára lives in Budapest, capital of Hungary. She is a true hospitality person, having worked in hospitality since 1982. Her experience comes from the world of hotels, where she has tried herself in several positions from waiter to general manager.

She is constantly improving her knowledge and skills, and after her BA and MA studies, she also obtained a PhD degree in 2014 at Szent István University.

In addition, she has been teaching at Budapest Business School – University of Applied Sciences. She is an experienced academic lecturer with over 25 years of teaching experience in various subjects related to hospitality focusing mostly on hotel operation and revenue management. As an Associate professor she is responsible for teaching on the Hungarian and English undergraduate and graduate programs of Tourism majors at the Hospitality Department. She is also writing up research papers and presenting research findings to senior managers and at academic meetings, conferences.

For some years now, she has focused on several areas of research, such as examining guest satisfaction and service quality issues, sustainability in tourism and particularly hotels, as well as ways to reduce food waste with the help of circularity.

She is happy to deal with the development and support of talented students in her teaching activities. She enters students and student teams for several competitions each year, as well as preparing students for scientific research.

She has a strong belief in the power of professional and educational organizations and is therefore involved in the work of EuroCHRIE.
