Phill has a Masters degree in Systems Science and is an experienced system designer and modeller. He has worked in systems design and financial control for Hilton and Grand Metropolitan and has delivered simulation-based training to international hotel companies, including Hilton, Rezidor, Guoman Hotels, Marriott International and Wyndham Hotels.

He taught financial systems and control for several years at an international hotel school in Switzerland.
Phill is also experienced in the field of environmental systems and is a qualified lead environmental auditor. He has performed environmental audits for universities in the UK and a leading five-star hotel in Switzerland.
