Dutch Public Transport

Netherlands has a good public transport system consisting of both bus and train services.

Schipol Airport to Apeldoorn

Train from Schiphol Airport leaves every 30 minutes (at :08 minutes - with one change; at :38 minutes - direct train). The ride is 1hour 8 minutes.

The train from Apeldoorn Station to Schiphol Airport leaves every 30 minutes (at :14 minutes - direct; at :44 minutes - with one change).

You can check the train schedule on the Dutch Railways website below. We also suggest downloading their app (NS Travel Planner) which has a user-friendly interface in English. You can also buy a single ticket (valid for the whole day) directly in the app.

Airport Pickup

If you arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on Monday October 24 or Tuesday October 25, student volunteers can meet you at the airport and provide support with your travel to Apeldoorn.

Our Conference Venue

Aventus is one of Apeldoorn's best equipped education buildings. Situated in the heart of the city, the national transport hubs are only steps away. The building lies across from the train station at the south end (3 minutes walking distance).

Parking

Free parking will be available at the Aventus building. If you come by car, you can use the following address to access the conference car park entrance: Kayersdijk 10, 7332 AT Apeldoorn

Registration

Registration of the delegates will take place at the welcome desks in the main hall of the conference venue where you will receive your conference badge.

Lunch Breaks & Refreshments

A buffet lunch, tea and coffee will be served during the official breaks as indicated in the programme.

Official Conference Language

The official language of the EuroCHRIE conference is English. No simultaneous interpretation facilities will be provided during the conference.

Presentation rooms

Standard presentation rooms will be equipped with TV screens, extension cords, stationery (markers/post-its etc.).

Hotels & Conference Transportation

If you have booked your stay at 1 of the 4 recommended hotels, you can use the conference transportation that will be arranged on October 25-27.

Dress code

The dress code for the conference days is Smart Business, and the Cocktail Attire dress code for the Gala dinner.

Internet Access

Upon your arrival at the registration desk, you will receive a specific username and password which will grant you free access to wireless Internet for the whole duration of the conference.

No-smoking Policy

The conference venue and its premises are in general non-smoking. Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas.

Covid-19 & Social Distancing

We are asking EuroCHRIE delegates to take personal responsibility for their health and wellbeing during this conference.
Lanyards will be available at the registration desks to choose from two different colors (blue & white):
• Blue indicating you are open for social contact
• White representing your preference of social distancing
