Ksenia Kirillova is Associate Professor of marketing and Vice-Head for research at Institut Paul Bocuse (Ecully, France). She holds a PhD from Purdue University (USA) and previously served as Assistant and then Associate Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Her main research interests are consumer experience in tourism and hospitality, which draw on the interdisciplinary perspectives of philosophy (existentialism, aesthetics) and social theory. Ksenia serves as Editor-in-Chief for Annals of Tourism Research Empirical Insights and as Associate Editor for Annals of Tourism Research. Prior her academic career, Ksenia spent eight years in the US Food & Beverage industry, working as a head water, assistant sommelier, and service trainer. In free time, she ponders the questions of life, death, human (dis)connectedness, freedom, and the meaning of it all.
