Parsa was a recipient of the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Fellowship in 2005. He has over two decades of teaching experience at four major universities.

His research has appeared in major refereed journals such as the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services; Journal of Business Research; Journal of Product and Brand Management; Journal of Services Research; Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research; Cornell Hospitality Quarterly; and International Journal of Revenue Management, etc. Currently, he serves as an Associate Editor for three major international journals and serves on the board of 7 other journals. He won several academic awards, including the Lifetime Research Excellence Award; Presidential Award for Research Excellence; Faculty of the Year (four times); International Teaching Innovation Award; Educator of the Year – State of Ohio, etc. He is frequently quoted in the media, including Fortune, Wall Street Journal, Business Week; Atlantic Magazine; CBS, ABC, NPR, etc.

He attended Harvard Business School for case research and teaching and earned his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech University.
