Based on the 2024 nominations received, the awards committee can now announce the worthy recipients for the EuroCHRIE awards that were presented at EuroCHRIE Qatar 2024.

These awards will be presented to the winners during the conference and not only at the Gala Dinner. We also thank our sponsors for their continued support. Congratulations to all!

The EuroCHRIE Presidents Award

The Winner is Rai Shacklock

“EuroCHRIE is a family, and I am proud to be part of your family so thank you for presenting me with the EuroCHRIE Presidents Award. It will always be very special to me.”

This award is the highest individual recognition a member of EuroCHRIE may receive. It is presented to a EuroCHRIE member in recognition of the individual’s lifetime contributions and outstanding service both to hospitality and tourism education and the EuroCHRIE Federation.

EuroCHRIE ‘Bridging the Gap’ Award

The Winner is Peter Russell

In recognition of significant contributions related to bridging the gap between academia and industry.

This Award honours a professional who has worked to build closer cooperation between academia and industry in relation to training, research and development in hospitality and tourism education.
