Madurodam: the story of The Netherlands

Madurodam is an attraction park where you can experience all the highlights of Holland! It offers visitors a fun introduction to the stories and landmarks that define this unique country. Madurodam opened its doors in 1952 as a living tribute to war hero George Maduro.

A must-see in The Netherlands!

In recent years, the park has expanded with seven modern attractions. For instance, The Wind Chaser takes you on an indoor adventure exploring the power of the wind; whereas the Dutch Masters is a walkthrough of the artistic worlds of the likes of Vermeer and Van Gogh. These experiences, among others, provide a unique adventure where guests can immerse themselves in the best that Holland has to offer.

Madurodam started as a miniature city, featuring 338 detailed miniatures that represent the best of the Netherlands, all scaled to 1:25. Here, trains, cars, and boats move between iconic buildings and landscapes, bringing Dutch culture to life in miniature form. But the experience doesn’t stop there: you can also enjoy a range of interactive installations, allowing you to step into the story of the Netherlands.

Our event makes a meaningful impact!

At the heart, Madurodam is a social enterprise as all proceeds go to the Madurodam Children’s Fund (Madurodam Kinderfonds).

This fund supports social and cultural projects that help children and young people in the Netherlands grow and connect with others. By visiting Madurodam, you’re not just having fun: you’re helping create opportunities for the next generation to build a brighter, more connected future.
