🚌 Public Transport (Tram & Bus)

The Hague has an excellent public transport network operated primarily by HTM (trams and buses) and NS (national rail).

The main stations are Den Haag Centraal (Central Station) and Den Haag Hollands Spoor (HS). Tram and bus lines are the easiest way to get around the city.

Payment: The standard method for public transport across the Netherlands is the OV-chipkaart (Public Transport chip card). Alternatively, you can often use your contactless debit/credit card (OVpay) to check in and out on trams and buses, or purchase day passes from HTM service points or the HTM app. Make sure to always check in and check out with your chosen payment method.

🚕 Taxis & Ride-Sharing

Taxis are readily available at the main stations and can be booked via local services like HTMC Taxi Service (or HTM's partners). They are metered.

Ride-sharing apps like Uber also operate in The Hague and offer a convenient, affordable way to travel, especially for short distances or when carrying luggage.
