The EuroCHRIE 2024 conference kicked off with an excellent Pre-Conference day at the ARIU in Doha, Qatar. The highlight was undoubtedly the EuroCHRIE meeting held in the ARIU Board Room.
The day began with an introduction of the organizing team by Conference Chair, Dr. Ivan Ninov. This was followed by the Autumn Board meeting, chaired by President Florian Aubke. With 13 Directors and Area Consultants present and another 10 participating online, the meeting covered a wide range of topics. A full report will be provided by Secretary Anne Conneally upon publication of the minutes.
In keeping with tradition, attendees gathered outside for a group photo with the EuroCHRIE flag, the ARIU building, and the conference flag providing a striking backdrop.
Several workshops also took place throughout the day. Steve Hood, a long-standing EuroCHRIE sponsor, led a well-attended session on utilizing STR analytics to improve hotel and hospitality management. Additional workshops, organized by Danny Han, Henri Kuokkanen, Yamel Henricksen, and Tony, focused on PhD programs and tailoring research to better serve corporate entities.
