We eagerly anticipate your participation and, above all, the opportunity to meet you in person!

Arriving in Vienna

For airport transportation options, visit Vienna Airport to Center. Taxis cost around €40; consider pre-booking or using public transport. If arriving by train, check your station. From the west, exit at “Meidling” and take the U6 to nearby conference hotels.

Bring Your Own Lanyard!

Feel free to bring your own lanyards, especially from past EuroCHRIE conferences, and share your stories. Don’t have one? No worries, we’ll give you one. Just return it at the conference’s end to support our sustainability initiatives.

Get the App!

Get the EuroCHRIE Vienna 2023 app for a seamless conference experience! Access the full program, create your agenda, find presenters, rate sessions, and receive important updates on your phone or tablet. Available on the web, Android, and iOS.

Dining at the Conference

Enjoy buffet lunches and coffee breaks daily. Our “Viennese Coffee House” offers refreshments all day. Lunches are vegetarian with options for dietary needs; contact our on-site staff for requests.

Social events feature meat and vegetarian choices. Gala Dinner accommodates pre-communicated dietary needs via the survey; unnotified requirements during the conference cannot be guaranteed.

Conference Venue

The WKO Campus, located near the U6 metro line (Währinger Straße/Volksoper – Exit Gentzgasse), offers ideal conference facilities. Please wear your badge at all times and be mindful of students and staff. The venue is fully accessible.

Getting Around Vienna

Effortlessly explore Vienna with its efficient public transport system, the “Wien Mobil” app for tickets and connections, and other options like taxis, Uber, E-Scooters, and bikes, along with the Vienna City Card for added convenience.

Currency in Vienna

Austria uses the EURO (€) as its official currency. It’s worth noting that while most local shops and supermarkets may not accept credit cards, they gladly welcome debit cards. Additionally, you’ll find convenient ATMs dispersed throughout the city and at the conference venue.

Dress Code

The dress code for the conference days is “Business Casual.” On October 4th, for the Welcome Reception, the dress code is “Casual.” And for the Gala Dinner on October 6th, “Black Tie Optional” or your country’s traditional dress is appropriate.

Health & Wellbeing

Please place your health first. If you’re not feeling well, we urge you to skip the conference. Sanitizers are conveniently located in venue restrooms. It’s worth mentioning that in Austria, facial masks and tests are no longer obligatory. We deeply care about your health and comfort.

Stay Connected

We’re excited to offer you fantastic connectivity options right here on campus. You can get online easily by using your home institution’s login credentials with the EduRoam network. If you prefer, you can also access the CAMPUS network – get in touch with us for the details. Enjoy a seamless connection while you’re on campus!

The conference venue and its premises are in general non-smoking. Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas.

Conference Language

The official language of the EuroCHRIE conference is English. No simultaneous interpretation facilities will be provided during the conference.
